It is very nice product although I had to tighten it after receiving the package. But overall it is a good product. I guess right now Target and World Plus Market also have similar product and they are much cheaper around $5

This product is easy to use and compact. I have a very small house/kitchen and little to no storage space this folds up to fit in a very small space. It is also very practical compared to spending a ton of money on a steamer pot.

Such an unassuming little instrument, this steamer basket. For those cooks and amateur chefs who may be thinking they need some fancy kitchen device to produce culinary cuisines, I say "pfffttt"! This steamer baskets works like a charm. I picked up some fresh green beans from my local Farmers Market(support your local farmers!), popped them into this baby, set it into a stainless steel pot and let the magic happen. It was like my green beans were in a mini sauna, haha. Add a little butter, cracked black pepper and garlic powder and you've got a great side dish or main event ( for you light eaters out there). All kidding aside, this is a great cooking tool and will be an asset to your kitchen. I recommend it for anyone living in an apartment with limited counter and/or cabinet space. There's only so many appliances one can fit onto a counter before it starts looking like you live in a Thrift Store. Just sayin! Oh, and the buck doesn't stop at veggies. I plan on using it to steam tamales tomorrow night. Just think of the possibilities! And if you can't think of them, there are tons of nifty search engines out there bursting with ideas and tips. Bon Appetite :)

I reearched a whole bunch of steamers that were quite expensive compared to this one. A friend had this one and highly recommended I don't bother spending extra $$ on fancy steamers & I give this one a try. I have to admit, this one is so simple, easy and effective - really no need for anything else more complicated, flashy or expensive. I've been using this steamer consistently with different veggies - it's very utilitarian, delivers and works perfectly.
